by these photocatalytic products; in fact, currently, norms concern the
measurement of the activity of degradation and don't consider the measurement of
the bacterial and odor-resistant activity, as well as the nature of products formed
from the photo-degradation process;
•
Due to the diffused lack of regulations at various levels, it is very difficult to verify
the truthfulness than affirmed by firms in relation to the real activity of degradation
of the so-called photocatalytic products;
•
During the analysis on products used for the realization of floorings, walls and
ceilings in hospital environments it has been observed that in these products are
described characteristics that are in leaflets and technical files of single firms
(germicide action, not susceptibility to decay from mould and bacterial agents,
etc.), but very often these descriptions are not followed by chemical and physics
characteristics. It is difficult to understand the link between declared performances
and chemical characteristics of the considered product.
