spaces with bespoke structures using wood lamellar (pillars and beams).
The materials used are rigorously environmentally-friendly, free from harmful emissions,
certified for performance and provenance and are an excellent answer to energy saving
requirements, heat efficiency and sound insulation. Innovative technologies comply with
new anti-seismic safety regulations, ensuring complete stability of the structure. Walls
and flooring made using prefabricated wood panels provide highly efficient heat
insulations that are well below Italian regulation requirements, with a heat transfer rate of
up to U = 0.16 W/mq k°. Stratigraphy (Fig.1 )of the floor panels and walls takes account
of sound insulation in terms both of external noise reduction and noise reduction
between adjacent walls and floors.
The construction method involving the use of a load-bearing wall frame (Fig. 2,3,4),
which from 2012 now allows you to construct nine-storey buildings in Italy, consists of a
bearing frame with wooden struts buffered on either side by wood fibre structural panels
held in place by nails and sandwiching a wood fibre insulating panel. This construction
method stands out for its superior seismic properties among wooden structures,
optimum load-bearing abilities and the lightness of the components used in the
production of the wall and flooring components, which are both highly customisable in
terms of energy efficiency and internal and external details. The components are pre-
assembled in large format at the factory using digitally controlled machines (CMC) and
ready for installation. They can then be quickly assembled on site using the dry-
mounting technique.
