When it comes to encouraging people to install a wind turbine after noticing one in their
community, only 4 of them felt encouraged. Two of them felt the wind turbine is
unattractive but still they felt encouraged to explore the option of wind turbine after
noticing one. The installation of the wind turbine for a period of one month could
successfully encourage 14% of the people. Installing it for longer time, enhancing its
aesthetics and spreading news about the positive effect it could have would encourage
more people into installation of one in their houses (Fig.18).

From the analysis of the questionnaire one can conclude that appearance of the wind
turbine and lack of information on the efficiency of the wind turbine are the main reasons
behind not considering or not accepting a wind turbine at an urban scale. At the same
time the number of people that got involved in a social conversation about the wind
turbines exhibits its potential to influence them toward more energy efficient ways of
living and encourage them to generate energy at small scale. For that to happen there is
