The rainwater from the roof is also collected in the concrete tank which was built to the
basement of the house. This water is used in summertime for irrigation of the trees and
plants. In the garden there is also a pit and electricity based water pump which is
operated by PV panels located in the garden (Fig 12). The house does not take water
from the council. Also, the house does not take any electricity source from the grid. All
the required electricity is obtained from solar energy and wind energy. There are not
many PV panels on the roof but they have a room in the house where there are batteries
which stores the produced electricity from the PV panels. The house has two type of PV
panels which are stables ones and movable ones (Fig 13). The water heating and the
space heating is also supplied by solar energy. There is solar water heating system on
the south facade and the house has floor heating which uses the heated water from the
solar water heating system 9Fig 14). The few amount of energy is obtained from the
wind energy through a little wind turbine on the top of the auxiliary room which is located
in the corner of the garden and used as hobby room.
