Conclusions
Indeed, the world is emerged with the environmental impacts. Housing sector takes an
important role for the environmental impact during the construction and after construction
periods. As a result, the design process is the main aspect of environmentally friendly
house and designers have to consider environmental design.
The example from Cyprus which has been evaluated above is one the best examples for
Cyprus. It is simple and well-designed house. It is also traditional and sustainable house.
The materials which were used are mostly natural materials. The electricity and water is
supplied by the natural sources. The water heating and space heating is also obtained
by natural sources. Rainwater is collected which is then reused in summer season.
Ventilation is provided by natural wind. The wastes are used to obtain soil. All of these
aspects are quite enough to make the house environmentally friendly, especially when it
is compared with the other houses in Cyprus.
