As regards to the vertical support structures, the cast iron columns have a variable
diameter.
The columns of the basement floor (+0.00m): diameter 183mm, 18mm thickness.
The columns of the ground floor (+4.72m) : diameter 164 mm, 16mm thickness.
Columns of the first floor (+10.95m): diameter 124mm, 14mm thickness.
To achieve this result, the columns were inspected with drills at various heights. (Fig. 12).

The secondary structure, supported by the columns, is composed of double-T girders
(NP) on which there rest turned horizontal elements called "volterrane" (in Italian).
These "volterrane" are formed of bricks laid vertically or in some cases made of
concrete, with or without reinforcement. (Fig. 13 & 14).
