surroundings, a deck will be built with certified wood (see Fig. 14). This material will be
purchased from local suppliers who already work with treated wood and it can be
recycled from demolition wood decks or from different recycle processes. Based on
Hawken’s 2007 concept that the repair, reuse, improvement, remanufacturing and
recycling are five ways to make the good qualities of the material and continue the
good work passing to other users and other uses.
The place will be used by researchers, school students and visitors as an
observation post. The monitoring path of aquatic plants begins next to the main
entrance following the group of lakes until the Veadinho stream located on the east
face of the Garden.
This stream was incorporated into the Master Plan, because it has fundamental
importance in the conservation of water sources and within the environmental
education project. It is receiving a cleaning treatment, decontamination of its water and
riverside forest recovery (Fig. 14).

The main objective was to preserve the existing buildings in the Botanic
Garden (research and reproduction of native plants greenhouses, the beds, the
collections, the existing paths and the administrative center). The structures of these
