- the variability of the behavioural patterns induced by technological innovations,
that in the virtualization and in the speeding of the paces of life indicates the most
influential reality of the change of use of spaces compared to past decades;
- the diversification of lifestyles, a characteristic that, typical of a globalized world
in which all the characters of communication are pushing for an increasing
customization;
- the growing of the immaterial needs, as related to subjectivity of the request,
makes difficult the possibility to achieve objective forms of cataloguing which can
result in generalized home design performance applications.
Therefore, which is the answer to these needs that from a long time, and even more in
our time, is the desire of all?
To this evolutive feature, therefore, that is proper to human life that animates the house,
the answer is a persevering planned indifference, which in the generality of the current
housing production is addressed in the unchangeableness of consolidated types which
converts home in an abstract entity
This state of things has stimulated the desire to overcome needs frameworks in progress
based on the static nature of a consumer standard average, of a rationalist nature,
mainly aimed at defining the quantitative parameter; it has determined the need to move
from generalities average user undifferentiated and invariant to the specificities of the
"subject user" variable within a rapidly changing world.

The change in this perspective must necessarily lead us to change our thinking about
the user. We must therefore move from a “standard user” account to the “subject-man”
living: it will therefore be identified, and not encoded, in its many specificities.
