factors affecting their decision are mainly Privacy and distance. In the case of
pedestrians and the public transport there are some common factors which are cost and
environmental commitment.
However the pedestrians and bikers are also concerned to their health factor. Now, it
can be easily correlated the behavior pattern of the commuters for a specific mode of
transport. So in this way it will be easier to target the specific mode users to change their
attitude and make it more environmental friendly and will also help us to design the
transportation system keeping these factors in mind. In the current world, the increasing
oil prices will push more and more people to leave the private automobiles. People need
to be educated about the environmental hazards caused by the use of more private
automobiles.
Human beings also need to understand all the catastrophic effects being caused by their
daily car usage. A main problem faced by the car users is obesity and other ill health.
People should be encouraged for talking pedestrian and bike as their alternative mode of
transportation.
