related to distance, time, cost and quality. However, our human mind and body has
some more needs then these categories and this research paper main stream is to find
these other factors which we tend to neglect. these factors are so small and take
fractions of second to affect our judgment that we often tend to neglect these factors.
Decisions taken by us always reflect the human attitudes towards the object. This
applies to each and every field of our life. Therefore, this research aims to respond with
the following research question:
What are the derivative factors for the choices made by user about their Mode of
Transportation
?
What are the priorities for the human race in the modern world? “ME, MYSELF and
MINE” are the boundaries for almost all of us. All of us may not agree with this but, this
philosophy is enhanced by the divisions made by our society, nations and religion etc.
Human is a business oriented being. That means give and take policy works best. It is a
profit earning being pulled over to the point giving or showing the most benefits rather
than just beauty or safety etc. In the modern times the profit is judged by the money. As
the money comes into play the urban space is divided by seen and unseen borders of
social, economic and mental status. As per the current status of the human living habits
“The fast and ever growing human needs” are unending and unattainable. But with every
passing second the place i.e. “EARTH” is becoming a hell. But the progress we are
doing to get our earth back to its normal life is very slow or say negligible then the rate
by which we are destroying it.
DIFFERENT MODES OF TRANSPORT
There is a relationship which exists between the mode of transport used and the human
mind or it can be called the human tendencies. There are many modes of transport
available to us to use but each mode trigger its own reaction to the human mind making
each mode different from other. In the following notes an attempt has been made to find
that relationship. Different modes which will be discussed are as follows –
•
Pedestrian
•
Cycle
•
Motorbike
•
Car (Private cars /Taxies)
•
Bus
•
Subway/Metro
FACTORS EFFECTING USER CHOICES
There are factors which affect any project or study related to human beings. These
factors regardless of problem, affects the problem so these can be called the general
factors affecting the decision making capabilities for selection of mode of transport by
human mind. After these factors a discussion is done on the factors regarding the
transport selection given out by the general people themselves. Now let’s understand the
general factors. These factors are:
•
Location
•
Time
•
Cost
•
Quality
There can be a relationship between above factors. It’s easier to say all of us want most
of every factor i.e. the
best quality
with
low cost, nearest
and therefore
saving time
.
