Also, the CO
2
emission in September 2011 was estimated at 238.186kg and the figure
was much less than one in January at 290.317 kg (Fig.8).
Figure 8: User Profile for CO
2
emissions from Sept 2011 to March 2012
The house had been heated by a gas boiler so that the seasonal change may have a
marginal impact on energy demand for space heating. The results somewhat indicate
that during the month of September 2011, initially when Ewgeco was installed, the
owners were conscious and might make efforts to save electricity use and the users’
curiosity and behaviour might contribute to lessening the electricity use which in turn
reduced the CO
2
emissions and bills. However, after a month of the EWGECO operation,
they might be accustomed to using the instrument and the efforts might be relaxed. In
fact, the amount of the electricity use increased from October 2011.
In September 2011, the maximum usage of electricity was recorded on Sunday, the 11th
while the minimum was on Thursday, the 15th (Fig.9). In February 2012, the maximum
usage of electricity and the minimum were recorded on Sunday, the 26th and Friday, the
24th (Fig.10).
